Couple Names 55 Defendants In Asbestos Exposure Suit.

James and Julia Fay Prince have filed suit in Kanawha Circuit Court naming 55 corporations as defendants.

The West Virginia couple claims 55 companies may be responsible for James Prince’s recent cancer diagnosis. Mr. Prince was diagnosed with lung cancer on November 10, 2011, and has just recently this December filed suit against the 55 defendants who he says caused his asbestos-related lung cancer. Employed as a carpenter from 1947 until 1975, the Princes believe this is when James was exposed to the deadly asbestos material.

The Princes are suing under theories of negligence, contaminated buildings, failure to warn, misrepresentations and several other theories. Seeking a jury trial, the Princes hope to recover damages from some, if not all, of the 55 named defendants.
